Card text
Flying Opus — Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, this creature gets +3/+0 until end of turn. If five or more mana was spent to cast that spell, put three +1/+1 counters on this creature instead.
Rootha was humbled in the whale's presence. It was glorious and beautiful, all on its own terms.

Rulings
An opus ability resolves before the spell that caused it to trigger. It resolves even if that spell is countered or otherwise leaves the stack.
